Castell Carreg Cennen

Carreg Cennen Circular via the Cennen Valley

Distance/time: ~14–16km (9–10 miles), 5–7 hours with castle exploration and a pub stop

Difficulty: Moderate, one proper climb up to the castle, then rolling farmland and valley paths.

Waymarking: Yellow public footpath discs throughout, well-trodden and popular.

A483 through Ammanford to Llandeilo, then follow signs for Carreg Cennen Castle to the Castell Carreg Cennen car park (SA19 6UA). About 35–40 minutes. Free-ish parking (small fee), toilets, café, and a tearoom right at the start.
